Below is a paragraph from JoAnne's email she sends to the Wednesday night class: As you can see they are very busy. If you would like to join this class please let us know:
"This summer in the Wednesday night class- we will be continuing with the afghans in Encore and adding a washcloth each week. Gotta keep trying new things. I have found 2 great fair Isle patterns for fingerless gloves- but those can wait until early fall. For the balance of the summer- small projects are the thing to add each week- keeps things interesting. I have ideas for another purse- this time a circular bag - like a sampler bag- each section is a different stitch. Speaking of samplers- this is going to be a popular technique this year- so we will do something- maybe a scarf -where each square or section is a new stitch- this way we can add some lace work without driving ourselves crazy. I am also trying to get an idea or 2 on Bookmarks- very small & very Lacy. "
Here are a few of the washcloths and mugrugs that JoAnne's class has been doing. We have been using Peaches and Creme cotton.

It's definitely a full class!

Remember to check out the calendar for July. There are several dates that class WILL NOT be meeting because the shop will be closed for vacation. These dates include:
Pats class Saturday July, 5th, 12th and 19th will be canceled
Linda's class Tuesday July 15th will be canceled
JoAnne's class July 16th will be canceled
If you would like to print out July's calendar it is located on the right corner of this blog titled: KNITWITZ CLASS CALENDAR

JUNE KNITTING

Hi all, Hope you are enjoying your summer so far. I know I am! I have lots of pictures for you. First are Diana's class. (Thursday 6-8pm) Sue is making the Carpet bag from Knitting Daily. Sally is getting a head start on winter and making some mittens using Mission Falls Superwash. Carol made this cute felted cell phone holder with a great flower. She used Brown Sheep wool.

Here are 2 cute bags that EJ made and a picture of the REAl EJ. She didn't realize her horns were showing! HA!

Below Athena is making a great scarf for her daughter and Dottie is making a lap robe for her mother.

We had 2 new students last Thursday. Ida is 16 and and wanted to learn how to knit. She did a great job and left knowing how to knit, purl, Cast on, add colors and Cast off! Wow she learned alot. Our second new student was making a shawl and adding fringe to the edges.

Julie is making another pair of socks. We always new it took balls 2 to be exact, to make 2 pair on 2 circ. Here are my socks that I'm working on with Cascade Fixation. I am using left over colors that I have hangin around.

Several people in JoAnne's class (Wednesday 6:30-8:30) decided to make afghans. JoAnne was nice enough to give everyone that is making one a book with 15 patterns in it for FREE. Each afghan takes 1 bag of Encore Worsted. Below are 2 samples. Carol is making the green one and Tish is making the cabled throw. If you want to get in on the Afghan makin' just let us know!

Here are a few pictures from World Knit in Public Day. It was a great day and I'm waiting to here who won the Knitwitz basket??? I would have loved to take more pictures BUT my camera batt. went dead. UGH! Anyway I got a picture of Judy and Vicky knittin away.

Now here is a mystery picture. For the past few weeks in JoAnne's class we have all been addicted to wash clothes. Ya know sometimes ya just get the bug! Last night at 12:30 am while the kiddies were makin a bunch of noise out in the camper, I had a brain storm. Can ya guess what it's gonna be?( not a washcloth) I will show my progress as I go and when I'm done I will put the pattern here. Have a great week and remember Knit knit knit! Donna

HI everyone, If you haven't taken notice Enter.net still has my website up with the wrong hours. Hopefully when I email them with a letter I am also sending to the BBB they will take the hint! I have added on the side bar a monthly calendar for June. When you click the link it should take you to June's class list. At the top of the Calendar there are tabs, you can look at the classes weekly or monthly its your choice. If you find this link or calendar does NOT work please let me know.
Onto exciting class projects. The first picture is a sooo cute baby sweater that Vicki made. You might remember on last weeks blog she made a purple baby hoodie with Bunny Hop. She is the baby sweater QUEEN! Second picture is of Dottie's 2 socks on 2 circ. She is doing an excellent job! She is using Cascade's Fixation and in the background you can see the book we are all using. Knitting Circles Around Socks. I have reordered this book several times and always sell out of it. It should be here any day! The third picture is of Joyce's hand spun, Hand-dyed and Hand-knit Lucy bag! It came out great and it's already sold! Great job!

The 2 pictures below are of EJ's magic necklace! I am posting the video on Youtube. If you click on the sidebar of the blog where it says Youtube class video you should be able to watch the magic. If anyone is interested in the pattern let me know and I will try to get it to you.

The next picture is of socks I am making toe up. I am using 2 circ. and making both at the same time. Here is where you can find the pattern I'm using. Click on Tangled-up-in-blue socks. So far it seems to be a great pattern. I am using Cascade fixation and making the smallest size for my 12 year old. http://www.persistentillusion.com/blogblog/index.php?pagename=freebies

The second picture is the front of a baby sweater I thought was sooo cute. Click on the link below for the pattern. Check out the pictures there are several really cute baby sweaters. This one calls for Love It! I used Pure Merino, either one will work.

Hi Everyone, First things first. I have been having an ongoing issue with Enter.net and am very dissapointed with their customer service. So I have decided to cancel my service with them and find someone that actually has customer service! Also, they have the wrong hours listed for June, July and August I have been calling them since April and still no one has called back. I'm done and will find someone else.

Ok, onto other things. I have tons of pictures from our recent classes. The first three pictures are from JoAnne's class. Cookie is making a little girls smocked dress out of Plymouth Encore. She is almost done. Its so cute. Next are knitted coasters. Made with Peaches and Cream Cotton. I think you can get four out of one ball. They are making these in JoAnne's class. Carole is making a cute litte baby sweater with Plymouth Dreambaby D.K.

Carole brought her little cutie to knitting last night, (wed) Andrea. She passing her mom a puse handle. Next is Wendy...HAHA She has 2 kids under 3 so she is allowed to, lets just say go COOKOO once in awhile AND she did'nt even sign a release! HA!

The next 4 pictures are from last Thursday's class with Diana. The first bag Cindy made with Crystal Palace's Deco-Ribbon. You can find the pattern here> http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/deco2_knit_bag2.htm The 2nd bag is Diana's. She is making it with Berroco's Ultra Alpaca. The pattern is from the Family Tree collection booklet #263 http://www.berroco.com/263/263_photoview_pv.html Next is Vicky, she made a cute baby sweater from the Stitch N' Bitch book. She added adorable little flowers instead of hearts. She used Crystal Palace Bunny Hop.

This foot is Julies. She made these socks for her dad for his birthday. We know he will love them. They came out great! She made these 2 socks at the same time on 2 circs. Next to Julie is a close up of a beautiful bag that EJ made. She used Crystal Palace's Taos. Here is EJ modeling with the bag in front of the shop. I think she should keep this bag for herself. I love it! Here is where you can get the pattern > http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/bags/EnglishGarden-felt.html

Now for some fun info. I just found out that June 14th is knit in public day. June 14th from 10-2, in Honor of this wonderful day, there will be a knit in public get together at the Promenade Shops in Center Valley. Everyone will meet under the gazebo. There will be door prizes and all! Also If you want to bring a square to be added to a charity Afghan your name will be entered twice into the door prize contest. I will get back to you with the size of the square needed. Sounds like fun! Don't forget about our new hours starting June 15th Thursday 11-5 Friday 11-6 and Saturday 10-3.
